Akadémia Business Center Marks its Rebirth with a New Identity

Europa Capital and ConvergenCE are proud to announce the new brand identity of the recently acquired Akadémia Business Center in the heart of Budapest. Alongside the launch of the refurbishment works, the prestigious riverside building will be rechristened Academia, as a vital part of its transformation and repositioning.

 

As construction works are taking form within the building, its identity has also been reconstructed. Although the new name stems from the previous one, conscientiously maintaining continuity by building on its established recognition yet it is given a timeless edge with classic Latin-style spelling.

 

The accompanying new logo, selected after thorough consideration, reflects a modern look with eternal elegance. Its design originates from the address of the building, Akadémia street 6. The emblem is created by two unique, tailor-made, similarly shaped characters. The characters are positioned back-to-back to each other, symbolising not only the abbreviation A and 6 but, but thanks to their round and similar shapes can also be regarded as if the first and last letters of the new name were mirrored. The logo’s dual nature also represents the two parts of the building, the symbiosis of a 19th century and a modern wing.
